Financial Services Portal

As traditional commercial banks are organized around products - the challenge to overcome product boundaries and create sensible combinations of products into services is not trivial.

The financial services portal allows banks or other financial services providers to assemble electronic services and functions across various product and asset classes. Clients can be provided with single sign-on access to these functions.

Robust enterprise portals allow for profiling of customers by, for example industry class, size or geography, and produce content and services that are relevant to them based on these criteria. The level of services can be differentiated and content and lay-out can be personalized by individual users.

Financial Services Portal

Virgil's software products are as agnostic as possible to financial product definitions. Our graphical interfaces seamlessly integrate with enterprise portal technology by allowing personalization. The data engine contains channels that are typically tailored to different services levels (delayed, filtered), different product groups and different interest areas. The trading engine can also differentiate in level of experience or - service.

Increasingly, financial services providers realize that web-services not only require more than one-size-fits-all. Online interaction with the customer increases the effectiveness and involvement as well.

Portals like Liferay offer out-of-the-box functions to build interest groups and receive feedback from customers, reason why Virgil completed both JSR 268 and more specific: complete Liferay integration in 2011.

Wide-spread use of JSR 168/268 and WSRP compliant portals among financial services providers also opens up a wealth of white-labeling opportunities.
