Amsterdam, April 7, 2009 — Virgil, a global provider of portal based streaming data solutions with a specialization in market data and trading applications for the financial services industry, today announced that two experienced software industry representatives have joined its sales and support organization to meet market demand and sustain the firm’s strong growth trajectory. This reinforces our continuing effort to expand our financial markets solutions team serving the retail-, wholesale, private banks and brokers with our portal based One™ products.

Peter van den Berg joins Virgil in the role of Business Development Manager. His main focus will be in sales and business development.

Peters' financial background comes from his employment at data vendors, a financial consultancy firm and an IT firm specialized in financial markets and has over 15 years experience in market data solutions in the financial service industry. He started his career worked as senior sales at VWD group (formerly Tijdbeursmedia) where he was selling real-time information systems to private investors and small banks. After this period Peter started as head of sales at Morningstar Benelux (formerly Tenfore). While working there Peters’ experience was used to sell into one of the largest Dutch banks and the biggest online broker in the Netherlands. After this Peter started as Account manager financial markets at Tri-ennium. In this role he was responsible for all SLA's for RMDS platforms, outsourcing of resources in dealing rooms for company critical systems and account management for all financial customers such as banks, pension funds, commodity traders and brokers. Peter will use this experience and knowledge of the market to increase Virgil sales.

Marc de Jong joins Virgil in the role of Product Specialist. His main focus will be in customer support, consultancy and product development.

Marcs' financial background comes from his employment at a data vendor and two banks. He worked as customer support agent at Markit (formerly MarketXS). Within this position Marc provided support to different kind of clients and market data solutions. After this period Marc started as a trader at ING Retail and Van Lanschot Bankiers where he executed trades in several asset classes like bonds, equities, derivatives en investment funds. While working as a trader Marc has experienced several trading- and back office applications. He will use this experience and knowledge to provide support to customers of Virgil, to assist in implementations of the Virgil software and to provide input to product development.
